We're looking for an experienced Backend Engineer to join our team in Lisbon to work on exciting projects in the data-driven world of sustainable transportation.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop exciting projects with the latest technologies (Java, Scala, Kotlin, Python is our tech stack)
  • Implement RESTful APIs to serve data and integrate them with API management tools
  • Align with Data Engineers to define data schemas on the serving layer databases
  • Align with Frontend developers and data consumers in general for API requirements
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines
  • Eventually, you will have to fix some bugs, right? This is not Disneyland! :)

About you

  • You have an entrepreneurial mindset and love building new things from scratch
  • You are willing to continually challenge yourself by learning new approaches and technologies and encourage a culture of mutual learning and collaboration

Main requirements

  • Deep understanding of Application and Infrastructure Design in a Cloud Environment
  • Strong knowledge of one of the following programming languages: Java, Scala, Kotlin
  • Experience in RESTful API development (e.g., Swagger)
  • Experience with HTTP toolkits for server-side API development such as akka-http, spray, finch/finagle, vert.x
  • Strong experience with SQL
  • Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, ElasticSearch, Cassandra, ...)
  • Fluent with unit testing, automated integration, and load tests, CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong Unix experience
